The 4 Meses Organic Red from Bodegas Alceño is a vibrant expression of Jumilla’s bold red wines, produced organically from vineyards planted at altitude where vines thrive in warm, dry conditions without irrigation. The estate, established in 1870, has a long history in the region and combines traditional vineyard care with modern winemaking to craft expressive, fruit-driven wines.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby in the glass, the wine offers lively aromas of dark cherry and black fruit, enriched by hints of clove and cocoa. On the palate it is smooth and generous, with rich, layered fruit, soft, rounded tannins and a lingering finish that marries spice and fresh cherry character with subtle savoury nuances — a hallmark of well-made Jumilla reds.

Winemaking:
Predominantly Monastrell with a 10% Syrah component, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented under controlled temperatures to preserve fruit integrity. After fermentation the wine spends four months in American oak barrels, adding structure and complexity while maintaining the vibrancy of the organic fruit.

Food Pairing:
A versatile organic red that pairs beautifully with grilled and roasted meats, hearty casseroles, spicy chorizo-based dishes or tomato-rich pastas, and mature hard cheeses — styles that complement its dark fruit intensity and rounded texture.
