Nero di Troia might not be a grape variety you are familiar with as it's very rarely grown ontside of Italy's Puglia region. Here it is considered a lighter and fresher option compared to many of the richer wines from this sun-drenched region. That said, this particular wine is no shrinking violet. It shows off a generous depth of ripe jammy fruit and has a good richness. This combined with the fresh acidity makes for a very nicely balanced red that really can be called a year round wine.
