Description

A characterful southern French red from the Corbières, sourced from a small 4-hectare vineyard set on an ancient stony terrace overlooking the Orbieu River. This distinctive site, with its galet-covered soils, contributes both ripeness and freshness, while the estate’s longstanding family expertise ensures a wine that balances regional tradition with precise, modern winemaking.

Tasting Notes:
Deeply coloured and expressive, the nose is filled with vibrant red berries and black cherry, lifted by subtle black pepper and gentle herbal notes. The palate is rich yet supple, with ripe, rounded tannins supporting layers of juicy fruit. Hints of black olive add savoury complexity, leading to a smooth, well-structured and persistent finish.

Winemaking:
Produced entirely from Grenache, with grapes harvested at night to retain freshness and aromatic purity. The fruit is fully destemmed before an extended maceration of up to 35 days, with regular pigeage to optimise colour and flavour extraction. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, where the wine is also aged, preserving its bright fruit character and natural vibrancy.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for grilled lamb, roast pork and Mediterranean dishes with herbs such as thyme and rosemary. It also pairs well with ratatouille, chargrilled vegetables and hard cheeses.

ABV: 15%
