This Blanc de Négres from Bodega Son Vich is a striking example of white wine made from red grapes, showcasing the distinct character of Majorca’s high-altitude Superna Valley. The Manto Negro and Tempranillo vines are planted in the coolest vineyard zones, terraced over dry stone walls, where careful hand-harvesting preserves the grapes’ delicate skins and prevents colour transfer. The result is a pale, fresh, and expressive wine with low yields, highlighting the purity of the fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Soft golden straw in colour, with a bright, clean appearance. The nose is aromatic and complex, combining tropical and orchard fruits—pineapple, pear, banana—with subtle spiced notes from the Manto Negro. On the palate, the wine is textured yet lively, with crisp acidity and a refreshing, long finish.
Winemaking:
Grapes are cold-pressed immediately after harvest and fermented with selected native yeasts over 25 days at low temperatures to preserve aromatic intensity. No malolactic fermentation is carried out, ensuring freshness and varietal expression.
Food Pairing:
Delicious with light fish dishes, shellfish, summer salads, or simply enjoyed as a refined aperitif.
ABV: 12.5%
