Roter Veltliner is an ancient Austrian grape with its home very much in the Wagram district. This organically produced example has some terrific fruit to it. There is a zestiness and intensity to it, with citrus and a hint of spice on the finish.
If you've never tried Roter Veltliner (no relation to Gruner Veltliner) then give this a try. It's particularly good with lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
