A striking expression of Sylvaner from Alsace, produced biodynamically by Domaine Charles Frey. This cuvée highlights the variety’s capacity for precision and texture, demonstrating that, in the right hands, Sylvaner can deliver both depth and finesse.
Tasting Notes:
Pale lemon in colour, the nose reveals subtle orchard fruit alongside delicate herbal nuances. On the palate, pronounced minerality provides structure and focus, balanced by soft fruit and a generous, rounded texture. Dry and precise, the wine carries excellent freshness through to a long, savoury finish.
Winemaking:
Produced from biodynamically grown grapes and fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine was matured on its full lees to enhance texture and complexity. Bottled unfiltered and without added sulphites, it may show natural sediment. The approach preserves purity and emphasises both varietal character and terroir expression.
Food Pairing:
A superb partner for rich seafood dishes, including scallops, lobster and creamy fish preparations. It also complements poultry in light sauces.
