Description

A fresh and expressive Chenin Blanc from the Chinon appellation, Bec is a lively white wine from Domaine de la Marinière that captures the purity and mineral character of the Loire Valley. Bright, elegant and beautifully balanced, the 2024 vintage combines ripe orchard fruit with vibrant acidity and a subtle savoury complexity.

Tasting Notes:
Pale lemon-gold in colour, the nose is bright and aromatic, revealing notes of green apple, ripe pear and white peach, complemented by citrus blossom, lemon zest and a gentle mineral character. The palate is fresh and finely textured, with crisp orchard fruit, lively acidity and subtle hints of quince and honey. A delicate stony note adds depth, leading to a clean, refreshing and persistent finish.

Winemaking:
Produced exclusively from Chenin Blanc grapes grown in the clay and limestone soils of Chinon. The fruit is carefully harvested and gently pressed before fermentation under controlled conditions to preserve its freshness and aromatic purity. Maturation on the fine lees adds texture and complexity while maintaining the wine’s vibrant fruit and clear expression of its Loire Valley origins.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken and fresh goat’s cheese. It also pairs beautifully with asparagus, creamy seafood dishes, vegetable tarts and lightly spiced Asian cuisine.

ABV: 13%
