Description

A charming and beautifully aromatic Fleurie from Caves de Juliénas-Chaintré, showcasing the elegance and finesse of one of Beaujolais’ most celebrated crus. Produced from Gamay grown on the rolling hillsides of Fleurie, La Joie du Palais combines vibrant red fruit, delicate floral perfume and a supple, silky texture. Graceful and wonderfully approachable, it captures the freshness and charm that make Fleurie such an appealing expression of Beaujolais.

Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby red in colour with delicate violet highlights, the nose is fragrant and expressive with aromas of fresh raspberry, wild strawberry and red cherry complemented by violet, peony and a hint of sweet spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied and beautifully supple, with juicy red berry fruit supported by fine, silky tannins and lively acidity. Subtle notes of crushed stone, white pepper and delicate woodland earthiness add complexity, leading to a fresh, floral and elegantly persistent finish.

Winemaking:
Produced from 100% Gamay grown in the Fleurie appellation of northern Beaujolais, where granite-rich soils contribute perfume, finesse and mineral definition. Traditional Beaujolais vinification, using techniques designed to preserve the grape’s bright fruit and floral aromatics, creates a fresh and expressive style. Careful maturation maintains the wine’s delicate structure and purity, allowing the distinctive elegance of Fleurie to shine through.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for roast chicken, duck breast, charcuterie and grilled pork. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom dishes, pâté, herb-roasted vegetables, lighter pasta dishes and soft cheeses. Particularly enjoyable served slightly cool.

ABV: 13%
