A vibrant Regional Tejo red from Falua, crafted from a blend of Syrah with the traditional Portuguese varieties Castelão and Aragonez. Sourced from sandy soils and hand harvested, the wine reflects the warm climate and approachable style of the Tejo region, combining ripe fruit character with balance and freshness.
Tasting Notes:
Bright and ruby red in colour, the nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruits and compote. On the palate it is smooth and well balanced, with soft tannins providing gentle structure and harmony. The fruit-driven profile is supported by fresh acidity, leading to a clean and pleasing finish.
Winemaking:
Grapes are hand harvested into 15kg cases and transported to the winery, where they are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of around 25°C to preserve fruit purity and varietal expression. With residual sugars below 5g/l and total acidity of 5.6g/l, the wine is crafted in a dry, balanced style that highlights the character of the blend.
Food Pairing:
An easy and versatile partner for grilled meats, Mediterranean dishes and tomato-based pasta. It also works well with charcuterie and everyday meals.
