OLBIETA BLANC highlights the Mediterranean character and freshness born from the vineyards located at the highest points of the Terra Alta region. It's based on white Grenache with a touch of Macabeo. It’s vibrant, fresh, with notes of fruits and white flowers and easy to drink.
Aromas of fresh fruit, pear, apple and apricot notes on a background of flowers and aromatic herbs. The palate is balanced, unctuous but very fresh, with a pleasant mouthfeel and a very refreshing citrus finish.
Each variety is harvested and fermented separately, by varieties and plots, each offering a unique character, helping to obtain a complex wine. It is fermented in stainless steel tanks to try to preserve the primary aromas and flavours of the grapes without further aging.
The Marco family, wine growers since the 15th century in Porrera (Priorat) emigrated to Barcelona at the end of the 19th century. Just over a century later, Olivia Bayés and David Marco decided to come back to their roots
roots building a modern winery and recovering old family vineyards.
