Rothko Rosé is a dry, Provençal‑style rosé from Holden Manz Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley. The wine is crafted from a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, reflecting the estate’s commitment to elegant, fruit‑driven wines.
Tasting Notes:
Crystal clear with a pale rose‑gold hue, the wine shows delicate floral aromatics with hints of cerise and peach. The palate is generous and crisp, with a smooth, creamy texture, refined fruit character and a long, lingering finish marked by subtle riverstone minerality.
Winemaking:
Grapes are whole‑bunch pressed under dry ice using the Champagne press cycle, with average skin contact kept to under three hours. This technique maximises fruit expression while limiting colour extraction, producing a dry, elegant rosé.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with freshly shucked oysters, light salads, Niçoise‑style dishes or grilled prawns with herb butter.
ABV: 13%
