Description

A refined and distinctive Sancerre from Daniel Chotard, a highly regarded family domaine in the village of Reigny. Named in honour of previous generations of the Chotard family, Cuvée Marcel Henri Denise is an elegant expression of Sauvignon Blanc, combining ripe citrus and orchard fruit with impressive texture, freshness and the mineral precision characteristic of the finest Sancerre.

Tasting Notes:
Pale lemon-gold in colour, the nose is expressive and beautifully defined with aromas of lemon, grapefruit, green apple and white peach complemented by delicate white flowers, fresh herbs and a subtle smoky minerality. The palate is finely textured and concentrated, with ripe citrus and orchard fruit balanced by vibrant acidity and a distinctive stony, saline character. Elegant and precise, the finish is long, refreshing and mineral-driven.

Winemaking:
Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in Daniel Chotard’s vineyards around Sancerre, where the varied limestone-rich soils bring freshness, complexity and mineral definition to the wine. Careful vineyard work and restrained cellar techniques allow the character of the fruit and terroir to remain at the forefront, with fermentation and maturation handled to build texture while preserving the wine’s natural purity, aromatic detail and vibrant acidity.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for oysters, shellfish, grilled sea bass and fresh goat’s cheese. It also pairs beautifully with smoked salmon, asparagus, roast chicken, creamy seafood dishes and lightly dressed vegetable dishes.

ABV: 13%
