Description

This lively Frappato comes from Pellegrino, one of Sicily’s historic family‑owned wineries founded in Marsala in 1880. Frappato is a traditional Sicilian red grape that thrives in sandy, chalky soils cooled by Mediterranean breezes, producing wines that combine ripe fruit with vibrant freshness.

Tasting Notes:
Light to medium ruby in colour with violet hues, the bouquet opens with bright red fruit aromas, including cherry and plum, alongside delicate floral notes of violet. The palate is fresh and aromatic, with juicy red fruit, gentle acidity and fine, well‑integrated tannins, finishing with a harmonious, persistent fruit character that makes this wine easy and enjoyable to drink.

Winemaking:
Made from 100% Frappato, the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented under controlled temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatic freshness and varietal purity. The wine is matured briefly on fine lees before bottling, emphasising clarity of fruit and vibrant acidity.

Food Pairing:
An excellent accompaniment to Mediterranean fare, including antipasti, grilled vegetables, tomato‑based pasta, grilled white meats and even spicy fish dishes. Its fresh profile also works well with light cheeses and salads.

ABV: 13%
