The Touraine Sauvignon from Domaine De La Chaise was harvested in St Georges Sur Cher, capital of the AOC Touraine, on clay-siliceous hillsides on the left bank of the Cher.
It has a beautiful, bright, pale yellow robe. The Sauvignon Blanc nose offers aromas of exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit, and white fruits. On the palate it is has good volume for a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc, with a well-balanced acidity. It has a long, lingering finish and lovely aromatic complexity (citrus fruits such as grapefruit, asparagus, exotic fruits, dried apricot, lychee). A fruity and harmonious wine. It's a delicious aperitif and also pairs perfectly with fish, seafood and goat cheese.
