Description

The Hawksdrift Marlborough Unoaked Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a fresh, vibrant white wine from New Zealand’s renowned Marlborough region, known for producing intensely aromatic Sauvignon Blancs. Made in an unoaked style using stainless steel fermentation, it focuses on purity of fruit rather than oak influence. In the glass, it is pale straw in colour and offers expressive aromas of gooseberry, passionfruit, citrus peel, and delicate floral notes like elderflower. On the palate, it is dry and crisp, with lively acidity and flavours of lemon, lime, green apple, and tropical fruits such as papaya and peach, finishing clean and zesty.

This wine is light to medium-bodied and best enjoyed young to capture its bright, refreshing character. Its high acidity makes it an excellent partner for food, particularly seafood like shellfish or grilled fish, as well as goat’s cheese salads, sushi, and light chicken dishes. Overall, it is a classic example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc—fruity, aromatic, and refreshing—with a balance of tropical richness and herbal freshness that makes it an easy and enjoyable choice for many occasions.
