A balanced and expressive Vouvray crafted from Chenin Blanc grown on clay-limestone and flint-rich soils in Chançay and Noizay. Produced by the family-run Vignoble Alain Robert, this cuvée reflects both the heritage of the appellation and a careful, modern approach to viticulture, resulting in a wine of finesse, purity and approachability.
Tasting Notes:
Pale yellow with a light golden hue, offering aromas of ripe apple, pear and fresh quince, alongside delicate white floral notes. The palate is poised and harmonious, combining orchard fruit flavours with a fine mineral thread. A gentle richness is balanced by fresh acidity, leading to a clean, elegant finish.
Winemaking:
Sourced from vines aged around 30–40 years, grown under sustainable vineyard practices with careful canopy and soil management. Grapes are gently pressed using pneumatic presses, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine is aged for six months on fine lees in tank, enhancing texture and complexity while preserving freshness and varietal character.
Food Pairing:
A versatile wine suited to aperitif drinking, as well as charcuterie, fish in light sauces, or soft cheeses such as goat’s cheese. Also pairs well with lightly spiced vegetable dishes.
ABV: 12.5%
