A rich and expressive red from Languedoc, crafted by Marilyn Lasserre, a pioneering winemaker who combines meticulous vineyard selection with precise, modern winemaking. Sourced from sun-exposed, pebble and limestone-rich terroirs, this wine showcases the intensity and elegance of old-vine Carignan.
Tasting Notes:
Deep purple-red in colour, with aromas of blackberry and subtle vanilla. The palate is dense and velvety, brimming with ripe red berries and a smooth, structured texture. The wine finishes long and lingering, with a harmonious balance of fruit and gentle oak influence.
Winemaking:
Grapes are fully destemmed, with a portion of the crop undergoing flash-detente to extract colour, tannins and fruit aromas, followed by gentle pressing. The remaining grapes follow a traditional vinification process. Around 50% of the wine is aged in French oak for five months, after which the parcels are blended and bottled, producing a wine that combines richness, structure and aromatic intensity.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as homemade hamburgers, roasted meats, grilled vegetables, or charcuterie. Also complements rustic pasta dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
ABV: 12.5%
