Pre-Shipment Offer - delivery w/c 19th October 2026

A polished and expressive Right Bank Bordeaux from Château Cadet-Bon, situated close to the historic village of Saint-Émilion. The excellent 2016 vintage combines the generous, velvety character of Merlot with the perfume and structure of Cabernet Franc, delivering a beautifully balanced Saint-Émilion with ripe fruit, savoury complexity and an increasingly elegant maturity.

Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet red in colour, the nose offers ripe black plum, Morello cherry and blackcurrant alongside violet, cedar and a touch of graphite. As the wine opens, more complex notes of tobacco, cocoa, dried herbs and gentle baking spice emerge. The palate is rounded and supple, with generous plum and dark cherry fruit framed by fine, polished tannins and well-judged acidity. Hints of mocha, earthy spice and cedar linger on a long, harmonious and savoury finish.

Winemaking:
Produced predominantly from Merlot complemented by Cabernet Franc, grown in the limestone and clay-influenced terroir of Saint-Émilion. The varieties are carefully vinified to balance ripe fruit and aromatic expression with the structure required for ageing. Maturation in French oak brings additional texture, spice and complexity while allowing the characteristic richness and elegance of the estate’s Right Bank fruit to remain at the forefront.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for roast beef, slow-cooked lamb, duck and braised short ribs. It also pairs beautifully with porcini mushrooms, truffle dishes, roast pork, lentil-based dishes and mature cheeses.

ABV: 14%
