A naturally vibrant Pétillant Naturel from Frères Carod in the Drôme region of the southern Rhône Valley, crafted from Muscat using the traditional méthode ancestrale. Bottled during its first fermentation, this lightly sparkling white wine captures freshness and aromatic purity with a gently expressive, unfiltered character.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in colour with a naturally slight haze and a delicate, soft mousse, the nose is highly aromatic, showing classic Muscat character with bright floral lift, orange blossom and citrus zest alongside pear, apple and white peach. The palate is lively and fruit-driven, with juicy orchard fruit and soft tropical hints supported by crisp acidity. A gentle natural effervescence gives a light, creamy texture, leading to a refreshing, fragrant finish.
Winemaking:
Produced using the ancestral method, where fermentation is completed in bottle without the addition of secondary yeast or sugar. This minimal-intervention approach preserves Muscat’s expressive aromatics while delivering a naturally low-alcohol, lightly sparkling wine with a subtle haze and vibrant freshness.
Food Pairing:
Best served well chilled as an apéritif, or alongside light starters, fresh cheeses, seafood and fruit-based dishes. Its aromatic lift also makes it an excellent match for lightly spiced or Asian-inspired cuisine.
