This new annual limited release from Lochlea is finished in carefully selected Grenache wine casks, following initial maturation in first-fill Bourbon barrels. The result is a bright, fruit-forward whisky bursting with summer berries, strawberry shortcake, and sweet vanilla, finishing with spiced biscuits and rich oak.
Tasting Notes Nose: Bright fresh pink berries, sweet and floral, some oak and tannins
Taste: Fresh juicy red fruits, particularly berries and cherries, sweet vanilla and almond flavours like a strawberry shortcake.
Finish: Finishing with rich oak, cereal, tannins and spiced biscuits.
