Description

This Reserva from Hacienda López de Haro exemplifies the elegance and depth that Rioja wines can achieve with extended ageing. The wine is crafted from carefully selected Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, fermented and aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for a prolonged period, developing a layered complexity.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby with garnet highlights, the nose reveals a rich bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, spiced with subtle notes of cedar, tobacco, and vanilla from its barrel maturation. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with velvety tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish, showing hints of dried fruit, baking spice, and delicate earthy undertones.

Winemaking:
Grapes are hand-harvested from old-vine vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. After careful selection and destemming, fermentation is followed by extensive oak ageing to integrate structure and aroma. The wine benefits from extended bottle maturation before release, resulting in a Reserva of remarkable finesse and ready drinkability.

Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with roasted meats, game, mature cheeses, and dishes with rich sauces, enhancing its layered fruit and spice profile.

ABV: 14%
