Made almost entirely from Merlot this delightful Bordeaux is soft and gentle on the palate, but with great concentration and richness of fruit.
Château Haut-Mouleyre is situated near the village of Escoussans, on the right bank of the Garonne,
near the town of Cadillac. Cadillac is an old fortified town, populated since the tenth century by the monks who laid out the vineyards after clearing the land of trees. History and heritage are part of the region’s richness, as is the famous Sauve-Majeure Abbey. The vineyards cover the south-south-west exposed
hillsides overlooking the Garonne to make the most of the sunshine and the excellent drainage. The various plots benefit from the variety of terroirs found on these hillsides to give the wine its full personality. Selection by plot takes the quest for quality even further.
