A Grand Cru Rosé Champagne from Bouzy, Champagne Delavenne Père & Fils’ Rosé Marne reflects the depth and precision of this renowned terroir, combining Pinot Noir intensity with Chardonnay finesse and a small proportion of estate Bouzy Rouge for colour, structure and fruit expression.
Tasting Notes:
Delicate raspberry pink in colour with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is expressive and layered, opening with red berries, strawberry and baked red apple, lifted by floral rose petal notes and a subtle citrus edge. With air, the bouquet gains complexity, revealing darker berry fruit, gentle spice and a light toasted nuance. The palate is generous and vinous, combining juicy red fruit with a creamy texture and finely balanced freshness. A clear mineral thread runs through the wine, supporting a long, elegant finish where red fruit and delicate floral tones persist.
Winemaking:
Produced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in Bouzy and Ambonnay, this cuvée is a dual-vintage blend of approximately 43% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 17% Bouzy Rouge (estate-grown still Pinot Noir). Made by Delavenne, an independent Récoltant-Manipulant estate, it follows a low-intervention approach using indigenous yeasts and no malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness and natural tension. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and enamel tanks, with extended lees ageing of at least three years to build complexity and depth. The wine is finished with a Brut dosage of around 9g/L, carefully integrated to maintain balance and purity of fruit.
Food Pairing:
A versatile Grand Cru Rosé Champagne, ideal as an aperitif and equally suited to food. It pairs beautifully with seafood such as lobster or salmon, duck, sashimi and lightly spiced dishes, as well as red berry desserts and fruit tarts.
ABV: 12.5%
