Wine dinners are back at Baythorne!

It’s been 5 years since we last held one of our popular wine dinners, but with our shiny new extension to Tarka’s Café complete, we now have the perfect space to start them up again.

We wanted to start with a bang, and we can think of no better way to kick things off than by a vinous trip to the beautiful island of Mallorca. Some of the most exciting wines that we have tasted in the past couple of years have come from Bodegas Son Vich. Mixing tradition and innovation, the estate produces a range of exceptional wines from their beautiful home in the Tramuntana Mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

We’ll be joined on the evening by Paul Faurie from Bodegas Son Vich. Paul is a native of Bordeaux and has experience working with wine estates in both France and Mallorca. He is passionate about wine and the island of Majorca, and has been living in Palma for over 10 years. He’ll give us a fantastic insight into the region, the winery and the wines.

As always with our dinners the wines will be paired to a delicious menu created by our café head chef, Jon Herring, who has taken inspiration from classic Spanish and Mallorcan dishes.

Tickets are limited to just 30, so we advise booking early to secure your place.

Menu:
Starter - Croquetas de Bacalao – Salt cod croquettas, served with a romesco sauce

Main – Mediterranean style braised Pork - Pork shoulder braised in tomatoes and sweet paprika with a touch of chorizo. Served with crusty bread

Dessert – Coca de Cuarto – Traditional sponge cake served with vanilla ice cream
