Description

An elegant and beautifully rounded Speyside single malt from Tormore Distillery, situated near the River Spey in the heart of Scotland's renowned whisky-producing region. Matured for 16 years, this refined expression combines rich orchard fruit, honeyed sweetness and gentle oak spice with the smooth, fragrant character associated with classic Speyside malts. Complex yet wonderfully approachable, it offers a harmonious balance of fruit, warmth and subtle sophistication.

Tasting Notes:

Rich golden amber in colour, the nose is inviting and expressive with aromas of ripe pear, baked apple and sweet orange complemented by vanilla, honey and delicate floral notes. The palate is smooth and full-flavoured, revealing layers of caramelised orchard fruit, creamy toffee and toasted almonds alongside hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and gentle oak. A touch of citrus zest brings freshness, while the whisky's silky texture and warming spice lead to a long, mellow finish with lingering notes of vanilla, dried fruit and polished wood.

Production:

Distilled at Tormore Distillery in Speyside using traditional copper pot stills, this single malt is produced from malted barley and carefully fermented to develop its distinctive fruity and aromatic character. The spirit is matured for 16 years in oak casks, allowing the fresh orchard fruit notes to develop greater richness, complexity and harmony. Extended ageing brings subtle vanilla, toasted wood and gentle spice while retaining the elegant, fruit-led character for which Tormore is known.

Food Pairing:

An excellent match for mature Cheddar, toasted almonds, shortbread and caramel-based desserts. It also pairs beautifully with apple tart, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and gently spiced fruitcake. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its layered aromas and delicate complexity.

ABV: 48%
