This is a very serious Pinot Grigio. It's deep colored with warm bread crust and the scent of acacia flowers on the nose. It has great texture on the palate and is layered with stone fruit, ripe melon and almond.
Monviert is a family owned and run winery in Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC (NE Italy). The vines are managed using the 'integrated struggle' method, which respects the balance of the plants and minimizes the use of chemicals. In the cellar indigenous yeasts are used reducing the need for sulphites. The ancient value of respect for the earth has also led to equipping the company with an innovative biomass plant, which transforms waste such as dry shoots into a resource, satisfying the 100% of the hot water requirement.
